In an effort to ensure its services and programs serve all Austinites, the city is opening a new Equity Office. But first, they need your input. They are holding two public meetings next week to gather ideas from the community about how the Equity Office should operate. The goal is to come up with a mission and vision for the new department that reflects the public’s values and concerns. More info>>

Upcoming meetings include:

• Wednesday, May 25th from 6:30pm to 8:30pm at the Asian American Resource Center
• Thursday, May 26th from 6:30pm to 8:30pmat the Dove Springs Recreation Center

If you can’t make it to either meeting, you can still get involved by emailing EquityOffice@austintexas.gov, calling 3-1-1, or submitting written suggestions to the Equity Office Comment Box located in the 3rd floor lobby of City Hall.
