[Green Design] Tonight, Thursday July 24th from7:30pm to 9pm the 

Center for Maximum Potential Building Systems is hosting a presentation on ecological design entitled,"Design Outlaws Riding into the 21st Century."The presentation will be given by Chris Zelov, founder of the Knossus Project, which focuses on the development of sustainable and creative environments. He will be speaking about architects and designers who embody the principle of sustainability in a courageous and unconventional way. More info>>

A public hearing on SH 45SW will be held on Tuesday.[Public Hearing] OnTuesday, July 29th from5pm to 7pm, TxDOT and the 

Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority will be hosting a public hearing on SH 45SW, the proposed four mile road that is part of a larger plan to connect I-35 with MoPac. This project is strongly opposed by several community groups, who fear that the project will have a negative impact on Barton Springs, as well as on several endangered species. Austin Youth River Watch is hosting a public forum about teens and the environment.
