Join us for the first meeting of 350 Austin’s book club. Mike Ignatowski will be presenting a summary of Naomi Klein’s “No Is Not Enough” and lead us in what is sure to be lively discussion.
About 350 Austin:
350 Austin is a local, grassroots organization committed to the goals and strategies of 350.org (an organization that uses online campaigns, grassroots organizing, and mass public actions to oppose new coal, oil and gas projects, take money out of the companies that are heating up the planet, and build 100 percent clean energy solutions that work for all).
Through their efforts, 350 Austin strives to act locally in the global climate movement.
They have three primary goals:
Goal 1: Keep carbon in the ground
Goal 2: Help build a new, more equitable low-carbon economy
Goal 3: Pressure governments into limiting emissions
