Talk Green To Me - Austin Central Library

From the City of Austin Office of Sustainability and the Austin Public Library –

Hear from the experts on the green building attributes of the new Central Library, poised for LEED Platinum certification. What makes this project a leader in energy, water, habitat, green materials, daylighting strategies, and more? How does the project fulfill Biophilic Design principles that help visitors feel connected to nature? We will also hear about the Seaholm EcoDistrict neighborhood where the project is located and what makes this district innovative from the inside out.

Presented by: Lucia Athens, Chief Sustainability Officer for the City of Austin, David Lake, Founding Partner of Lake|Flato Architects and Kathy Zarsky, the LEED Consultant for the new Austin Central Library.

This event is free and open to the public, and part of the Austin Public Library’s “Talk Green to Me” series. It will take place in the Demonstration Area on the 1st floor. Can’t make it in person? We’ll be streaming it live on Facebook.
