Assistance League of Austin Thrift House

Assistance League of Austin Thrift House is a resale department store, staffed and administered entirely by volunteers. The store is open year round and serves as a major source of income for Assistance League of Austin’s philanthropic programs. This includes Operation School Bell, which provides new school clothing to children whose family cannot afford it.

All you have to do to donate is bring your donations to the east side of the parking lot at 4901 Burnet Road during business hours. Just ring the doorbell, and ALA volunteers will be pleased to give you a receipt. Because Assistance League of Austin is approved by the Internal Revenue Service as a nonprofit 501(c)(3) charitable organization, all of your donations are tax deductible.

All they ask is that you please don’t leave items so badly damaged or soiled that ALA cannot resell them. They cannot accept mattresses or sleeper sofas. They also request that goods not be left after ALA is closed for the day.
