What's Inside...

Connecting children to nature is important. It helps reduce their risk for developing serious health problems, improves academic performance, lowers stress, and just makes them happier human beings. If there is one organization in town that know this best, it’s Westcave Outdoor Discovery Center. With their nature preserve, advocacy efforts, and educational programs, Westcave works hard everyday to connect children throughout Austin to the outdoors.

Now they need your help. On September 16th at the Four Seasons, they’ll be hosting the “9th Annual Celebration of Children in Nature.” Tickets are still available for this fun event, honoring individuals and organizations who are working hard to get kids outdoors. The master of ceremonies will be Carter Smith, executive director of Texas Parks and Wildlife. The event is a great way to help support the work of Westcave and the local movement to get kids outdoors. More info>>
