KaBOOM! Hosts First-Ever Austin Park Playground Build

Hosted by the Austin Parks Foundation and the Austin Parks and Recreation Department –
Join the Austin Parks & Recreation Department, Austin Parks Foundation, and other community members for the first KaBOOM! project in an Austin park! On Wednesday, November 6th, hundreds of volunteers will transform Wooten Park into a kid-designed, state-of-the-art playground in just six hours. The new playground will provide a space for Austin kids and families to develop skills essential to physical, creative, social and emotional growth.
Austinites are invited to volunteer for this special project. There are three days of volunteer opportunities available. The first two on Monday and Tuesday will be prep days and Wednesday, November 6 will be the build day. No construction experience is necessary, and there are jobs available for all ability levels.
