From Austin Creative Reuse –

Kinetic Sculptures: An Introduction to Mobile-Making

In this workshop participants will briefly engage with concepts of balance and movement, become familiar with the mobiles of artists like Munari, Man Ray, and Calder, and finally, dive right into crafting their own mobile or kinetic sculpture using small metal or wooden objects, foam, paper cutouts, wire, beads, and bamboo dowels. Attendees are encouraged to work as big or as small, as minimal or as intricate as they would like in their sculptural works.

Danyelle Hamilton graduated from Vassar College and moved to Texas a few years ago. They are a poet and visual artist, learning to play guitar and use crystals.

You can get your ticket here.
