Leading Mindfully: A Self Care Workshop

Are you a human doing good? Maybe a social worker, parent, community organizer, teacher, volunteer or doctor? Whatever your “good,” I want to thank you for being on the front lines caring for others. You deserve a f*cking break.
Join Ashley Cheng, E-RYT 500, co-founder of Rouser and the Austin School of Yoga, for a 90 minute workshop that will arm you with the tools to infuse practical self care into your daily life. 100% of the proceeds will benefit the New Leaders Council Austin, a nonprofit dedicated to recruiting, training and promoting a diverse new generation of progressive leaders in our city.
Let’s make some space for yourself to:
Reconnect: A 45 minute all-levels yoga practice to actively release tension and get grounded in your body.
Refocus: A self process and journaling exercise designed to refine and strengthen your intent as an activist, caregiver or leader.
Revitalize: A full-body, mysofacial self massage sequence on Roll Model Method Therapy Balls, followed by a restorative “yoga nidra” guided meditation (think yogic nap time).

As a current fellow in the Austin Leadership Institute cohort, I’m fundraising for the New Leaders Council for the next wave of leaders to be able to have the same incredible training experience free of cost.
