Let Freedom Ring

Hosted by the George Washington Carver Museum –

The Carver and GoogleFiber hosts “Let Freedom Ring Juneteenth Celebration” on Saturday, June 15, 2019, from noon– 4:00 pm.

We invite the community to join us for live musical performances by Austin-based artists and a special performance by the Greater Houston All-Star Marching Band!

Our Juneteenth celebration features crafts, carnival games, human hamster ball races, bungee/ joust jumper and a mobile arcade. A Juneteenth Marketplace with Melanated Marketplace and local vendors, character reenactments of the “Texas Slave Narratives”, and Juneteenth Storytimes are a few of the Carver’s jubilee offerings to enjoy.

We encourage attendees to participate in the Historical Juneteenth Parade (10:00 am-Noon) sponsored by the Central Texas Juneteenth Committee and then come to the Carver.

“Let Freedom Ring Juneteenth Celebration” is FREE and open to the public.
