Wimberley Sierra Club Membership Event
May 5 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm
From the Sierra Club –
Get to know some like-minded neighbors, learn about how you can get more involved, * POTENTIALLY MEET SOME LLAMAS* and kick back in Wimberley’s coolest beer and wine garden and food truck park.
We’ll talk about it all – hiking, climate change, and making a difference – in particular, learning about the proposed Kinder Morgan pipeline that could cut through central Texas.
We will be hosting more membership events like this in other areas of Central Texas over the next few months and try to keep a local flavor to it each time we meet. So if its too far for you to make this time, then save the gas and we’ll see you in your neck of the woods soon!
About the Sierra Club
Founded by legendary conservationist John Muir in 1892, the Sierra Club is now the nation’s largest and most influential grassroots environmental organization — with more than two million members and supporters. Our successes range from protecting millions of acres of wilderness to helping pass the Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, and Endangered Species Act. More recently, we’ve made history by leading the charge to move away from the dirty fossil fuels that cause climate disruption and toward a clean energy economy.
