Who We Are:

Formerly known as Solid Waste Services, Austin Resource Recovery provides residential curbside collection of trash, recycling and yard trimmings in the City of Austin. Additional services include sweeping streets, collecting dead animals, operating a drop-off center for household hazardous waste and collecting bulk items and large brush.

Are you recycling, composting, or reusing more than you’re throwing away?

Help the City of Austin achieve its goal of being Zero Waste by 2040 by joining the Zero Waste Block Leader Program managed by Austin Resource Recovery. The program connects green-minded community advocates and neighbors to help educate and increase participation in the City’s recycling, composting, and other residential curbside programs and drop-off services.

The next Zero Waste Block Leader orientation is October 12, 11a-12:30p. For more information and instructions on how to register, visit www.austintexas.gov/zerowasteblockleader.
