The Austin Park Foundation’s biggest city-wide volunteer event of the year is just around the corner… and there’s still time to get involved.

Each year on It’s My Park Day, thousands of volunteers work to improve parks and greenbelts throughout the city. During the last It’s My Park Day, over 3,200 volunteers worked on nearly 100 projects city-wide and put in over 10,000 hours of labor. That’s equivalent to seven park maintenance employees working full-time for a whole year! According to the Austin Parks Foundation, this one day represented an investment of over a quarter of a million dollars for Austin’s parks.
