MetroRapid Is Getting Some Improvements

MetroRapid

What's Inside...

Austin’s MetroRapid bus service is about to get a bit better. Since August 20th, MetroRapid’s frequency has increased so that buses run every 10 minutes during peak hours.

Hours have also been extended so that you can ride until 2:30am on the weekendsMore info>>

What’s MetroRapid?
MetroRapid service runs on those big, red, bendy buses you might have seen traveling around town. They generally have higher frequencies than Cap Metro’s other bus services and are designed to look a little fancier than the rest of the fleet. Downtown, they also get to drive in the bus-only lanes (like the one on Guadalupe Street).

MetroRapid travels along two routes:

  • 801 – which connects Tech Ridge to South Congress
  • 803 – which connects the Domain to South Lamar
