Sponsored Post from Austin Habitat for Humanity –

We all know that Austin is becoming a less and less affordable place to live. One local organization that is working hard to change that is Habitat for Humanity. In 2014 alone, they built 30 homes and served over 1,121 families with help from thousands of volunteers. Austin Habitat is the largest builder of homes that are affordable enough for hardworking, low-income families in Central Texas to actually own.

Now, Habitat for Humanity needs your help. They have just been announced as an official charity partner of the 2017 Austin Marathon, Half-Marathon, and 5k. In an effort to raise awareness that everyone deserves a place to call home, they’re looking for people to put on their running shoes and hit the pavement in the name of affordability. Their goal is to raise $10,000 before the race on February 19th.

This is where you come in. If you commit to raising $400 for Austin Habitat, you’ll receive free entry into the Austin Marathon, Half-Marathon, or 5k. That money will go directly toward building strong, stable, and self-reliant communities right here in Austin. More info>>
