The Amazon Is Burning… But What Exactly Does That Mean?

You’ve read the headlines. You’ve seen the photos. The Amazon is burning.

But what exactly does that mean? Earlier this week, we sat down with Marshall Huggins, chief of staff with the Rainforest Partnership, and asked him this exact question.

(The Rainforest Partnership is an Austin-based nonprofit that protects and regenerates tropical rainforests by working with indigenous communities to develop sustainable livelihoods that support both people and the environment.)
